{"id":3228,"date":"2026-09-10T14:39:07","date_gmt":"2026-09-10T14:39:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.spacepreneurmag.com\/?p=3228"},"modified":"2026-09-10T14:39:28","modified_gmt":"2026-09-10T14:39:28","slug":"detect-radar-supports-live-bvlos-airspace-management-at-oklahoma-spaceport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.spacepreneurmag.com\/index.php\/2026\/09\/10\/detect-radar-supports-live-bvlos-airspace-management-at-oklahoma-spaceport\/","title":{"rendered":"Detect Radar Supports Live Bvlos Airspace Management at Oklahoma Spaceport"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This morning our technology partners at Vigilant Aerospace Systems, Inc. rolled out and configured new radar infrastructure for the FlightHorizon TEMPO airspace management system at the Infinity One Oklahoma Spaceport in western Oklahoma, and we\u2019re proud that DeTect\u2019s HARRIER\u00ae surveillance radar forms part of the network making it possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FlightHorizon TEMPO is a fully integrated, cloud hosted airspace management system built to give beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) drone and advanced air mobility (AAM) operators compliant, real time detect and avoid coverage across thousands of square kilometres of airspace, tracking both cooperative and non-cooperative aircraft. It\u2019s exactly the scale of safety critical infrastructure our radar technology was designed to support, and seeing it live over the spaceport this morning was a great moment for the whole project team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vigilant Aerospace CEO Kraettli Lawrence Epperson shared this from the site on LinkedIn:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThat image is real. No AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is the sun rising this morning over the infrastructure supporting thousands of square kilometres of the FlightHorizon TEMPO airspace management system radiating out from the Infinity One Oklahoma Spaceport in western Oklahoma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do you want to see a real, fully integrated, networked, cloud hosted, highly automated, resilient, self monitoring airspace management system with compliant detect and avoid as a baseline function?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m watching the air traffic over western Oklahoma from my browser right now. I could track my own UAS in the system and get instant trajectory predictions and alerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is safety for large UAS and AAM development, autonomous space launch (coming in 2027 with Dawn Aerospace) and long range autonomous flight operations.
