United Launch Alliance (ULA) has successfully launched and delivered 29 broadband satellites for Amazon’s Project Kuiper, marking another significant milestone in the deployment of the low Earth orbit (LEO) constellation. The mission lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station aboard an Atlas V rocket, continuing ULA’s role as a key launch partner for Amazon’s ambitious satellite internet initiative.
The successful deployment brings Amazon closer to its goal of providing global high-speed internet coverage, particularly targeting underserved and remote regions. Project Kuiper aims to bridge the digital divide by establishing a constellation of thousands of satellites in low Earth orbit, delivering low-latency broadband services to customers worldwide.
This mission follows a series of previous launches that have steadily expanded the constellation’s in-orbit presence. ULA’s reliable launch record, including its Atlas V and forthcoming Vulcan Centaur rockets, has been instrumental in Amazon’s ability to maintain its deployment schedule. The 29 satellites delivered in this mission will undergo on-orbit checks before joining the existing constellation to begin providing commercial services.
