Rocket Lab Corporation has successfully launched its 92nd Electron mission, deploying the latest satellite for the Institute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space, Inc. (iQPS), operators of the QPS-SAR Earth-imaging constellation. The mission, named “The Grain Goddess Provides,” lifted off from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand at 9:18 p.m. NZST on August 6, 2026.
The payload, QPS-SAR-13, joins iQPS’s synthetic aperture radar (SAR) constellation, which provides near-real-time imagery across twelve different orbits. This mission marks the eighth deployment of a QPS-SAR satellite by Rocket Lab with 100% mission success, reinforcing Electron’s role as the primary launch provider for the constellation.
With this launch, Rocket Lab has completed its 13th Electron mission of 2026. iQPS has already booked another ten dedicated launches on Electron to complete their constellation before 2030, highlighting the trust and confidence in Rocket Lab’s reliability and performance.
The next Electron launch for iQPS, named “The Lightning God Defends,” is scheduled to take place later this month from Launch Complex 1, continuing the rapid deployment of the QPS-SAR constellation.
